James Steiner has been a beloved member of the northern Black Hills community for over 40 years. After having a hard time finding a reputable garage door installer in the area, he did the only logical thing and created his own. Now, we are proud to carry on the legacy that he cultivated over the course of 30 years in the industry.

James’ work ethic was one of his defining characteristics, and he always took great pride in working hard to achieve success through his own efforts. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, which instilled in him a sense of discipline and a strong commitment to duty. Additionally, he was a devout Christian, which played a significant role in his life from treating all customers with respect and honesty to giving back to the community. Through years of quality service and devotion to his craft, James created the brand that is Dakotaland Doors today.

Unfortunately, James passed away in 2022, but at Dakotaland Doors, we are proud to honor James’ memory by continuing to deliver exceptional garage door installation services that reflect his commitment to excellence.
